Mr. O'Keefe is a partner in Thorsteinssons LLP, the largest law firm in Canada practicing exclusively in the area of taxation. Mr. O'Keefe graduated in Commerce and in Law from the University of British Columbia and received a Master of Law degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He has been admitted to the Bars of the Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario and has restricted his practice to tax law for more than forty years. Mr. O'Keefe has served as a Special Assistant to the Minister of Finance, Government of Canada, and was a member of the Joint Taxation Committee of the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and of the Board of Governors of the Canadian Tax Foundation. Mr. O'Keefe was an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Law, for twenty years.
