The 16th annual Mr. Lube Tournament for Life golf tournament was held on Monday June 4, 2012 at Point Grey Golf & Country Club.
This year's tournament raised more than $188,000 benefitting the work of the Vancouver Prostate Centre and VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation.

Congratulations to Willy Konantz and Taylor Scholz on the completion of their Gear West: Our Ride For Men ride to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer research. Willy and Taylor left London, Ontario on May 2 and arrived in West Vancouver on June 9. They were joined by many supporters on the last leg of their journey, including Willy's father Don who inspired their ride.
The 2012 Canada Safeway Foundation Reception to celebrate the charitable organizations they have worked with over the last 10 years will take place on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in the Vancouver Convention Centre, West Building, Level 3.
Since its inception in 2002, the Canada Safeway Foundation has enabled the donation of over $3.5 million to more than twenty charities in the province of BC, including the Vancouver Prostate Centre.
Willy Konantz and Taylor Scholz are two university students biking across Canada to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer research. They will start May 2 in London, Ontario (where they are attending university) and cycle an average of 160 kilometres per day, six days a week to their homes in Vancouver, BC.

Dr. Larry Goldenberg, Professor and Head, Department of Urologic Sciences at Vancouver General Hospital and UBC and Director of Development at the Vancouver Prostate Centre, will be awarded the Queen's 2012 Diamond Jubilee Medal on April 11th, 2012. The Medal honours significant contributions and achievements made by Canadians.
The Australian-Canadian Prostate Cancer Research Alliance (Aus-Can PCRA) is a network of Australian and Canadian academic, scientific, clinical and professional experts and scholars working in the area of prostate cancer. The Aus-Can PCRA’s 2012 Symposium takes place April 13-16 at Daydream Island, Queensland, Australia.
