ASCO merit award & SWOG young investigator award for VPC and BCCA clinician-scientist

Dr. Lucia Nappi, a postdoctoral fellow working with Dr. Gleave at the VPC and clinical research fellow working with Drs. Kollmannsberger and Chi at the BCCA, has been awarded a 2018 Genitourinary Cancers Symposium Merit Award.

She will be presenting her winning abstract, "Plasma miR371 for the detection of viable germ cell tumor in testicular cancer patients with enlarging or post chemotherapy residual nodes," at the 2018 ASCO Genitourinary Cancers Symposium on Friday February 9.

Dr. Nappi won a SWOG 2017 Young Investigator Award last September, to design a clinical trial within SWOG.

She is part of the SWOG Prevention and Surveillance committee and the SWOG Adolescent and Young Adults (AYA) committee, through which the trial she designs will be conducted.
