Dr. Somasekharan has been granted a $1.12 million USD from the DOD Award

Dr. Syam Somasekharan has been honored with the Idea Development Award - Established Investigator Award in Urologic Sciences by the US Department of Defense (DOD) Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) for his exceptional work in identifying biomarkers and therapeutic targets for prostate cancer. We would like to congratulate Dr. Somasekharan on securing $1.12 million USD in funding for his research in Urologic Sciences.

The Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP), established in 1997, aims to support innovative research that aims to eradicate prostate cancer. The program focuses on promoting groundbreaking research, conducting high-impact studies with clinical relevance, mentoring the next generation of prostate cancer researchers, and providing resources for translational research.
