Dr. Wang awarded CIHR project grant; three trainees awarded PCF-BC research grants

Dr YZ Wang and his co-applicants Drs Ci, He and Lin were the recipients of a five-year CIHR Project Grant (Fall 2018 competition) for their proposal titled "Function and therapeutic potential of SUV420H2 in neuroendocrine prostate cancer."

Three VPC trainees received Prostate Cancer Foundation BC research grants:
- Jake Noble was awarded the Michael Izen special award for his research project "Small molecule ERG antagonists increase sensitivity of TMPRSS2-ERG prostate cancer cells to enzalutamide"
- Xinpei Ci was awarded the Leno Zecchel Founder award for her research project "Targeting HI1a for treatment of neuroendocrine prostate cancer"
- Shahram Khosravi was awarded the Margaret Kury Pioneer award for his research project "A step towards personalizing the treatment of prostate cancer"
