Dr Wasan received Outstanding Reviewer from CIHR

Dr Kishor Wasan, has been awarded the Outstanding Reviewer recognition for their exceptional contribution to peer review. The Review Quality Assurance (RQA) process of CIHR acknowledges outstanding reviewers based on feedback and observations from Committee Chairs, Scientific Officers, and CIHR staff. These contributions include surpassing expectations in reviews, volunteering for additional tasks at short notice, and actively participating in discussions on applications, even those not assigned to them. Out of the 1,178 reviewers involved in the Fall 2023 Project Grant competition, only 21.5% received this recognition. CIHR acknowledges the crucial role of dedicated reviewers in maintaining the integrity of peer review, which is vital for transformative health research investments.
