Drs Somasekharan and Kaigala awarded CFI’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund

Congratulations to both Dr Syam Somasekharan and Dr Govid Kaigala for being awarded the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) grant, which will support advanced research infrastructure aimed at fostering new discoveries and health innovations. This funding, allocated through the CFI’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF), equips researchers with essential tools and equipment, enabling them to pursue innovative research and establish themselves as leaders in their respective fields.

• Govind Kaigala (School of Biomedical Engineering)- Tissue Microprocessing Platform: Technologies to Unravel Heterogeneous Interactions in Cancer
• Syam Somasekharan (Urologic Sciences)- Advanced RNA Translatome Profiling Facility to Identify Therapeutic Targets and Biomarkers for Prostate Cancer (ART-PC)
