Graduate student is co-first author of two European Urology publications in January 2019

Ms. Vandekerkhove

Gillian Vandekerkhove, a PhD student working under the supervision of Dr. Alexander Wyatt, is co-first author on two papers published in European Urology (Impact Factor 17.5) this month:

Ms. Vandekerkhove is the recipient of both a 2018 VCHRI Rising Star award and a 2018 CIHR Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarship – Doctoral Award. An interview with her was posted in the August 24, 2018 issue of VCHRI News.

These publications were produced by a strongly collaborative team consisting of other VPC PIs, trainees and staff (including Evan Warner, also a 2018 VCHRI Rising Star Award recipient), as well as other collaborators at the University of British Columbia, the University of Tampere (Finland), and Ghent University Hospital (Belgium).
