Three doctors and a PhD Candidate awarded with the 2024 Supervisor Award

Drs. Syam Somasekharan, Joshua Scurll, Sofie Tolmeijer, and PhD Candidate Kerim Yavuz have received the UBC Science Co-op Supervisor Recognition Award for 2024. This award recognizes their significant impact on experiential learning, their exceptional guidance and mentorship during the work term, and their dedication to promoting professional development opportunities.

The Co-op Employer Recognition Awards, initiated in 2017, are presented each year to acknowledge outstanding mentorship and coaching people who have contributed to the Science Co-op Program and its students by providing valuable work-integrated learning experiences.
