Two Trainees Awarded Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada Research Grants
Each year, the Foundation provides funds to students and postdoctoral researchers to advance their contributions to prostate cancer research. The Grant-In-Aid Committee receives a multitude of applications annually, making the selection process highly competitive. Awarded recipients are closely supervised and evaluated to maintain transparency and accountability for all projects funded by the PCF.
Two VPC trainees received Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada research grants:
Kerim Yavuz (trainee in Dr Nathan Lack lab) was awarded for their research project " Characterization of the AR neocistrome to identify therapeutic targets in castration resistant prostate cancer."
Sofia Graham (trainee in Dr Govind Kaigala Lab) was awarded for their research project " Spatial Multi-Omic Profiling of Cribriform Prostate Carcinoma via a Morphology Guided Microfluidic Sampling Workflow."
